Rights activist, Omoyele Sowore has said that the EndBadGovernance protest will continue on Monday.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu in a speech on Sunday morning had addressed the aggrieved Nigerians and urged the protesters to be patient with his administration.

Tinubu promised that his policies would soon start yielding positive effect.

However, the protesters stated that the president’s speech failed to address their concerns.

Speaking on the development via his X handle, Sowore directed all protesters to march to Ojota before proceeding to Alausa, the Lagos State Secretariat, on Monday.

He wrote, “Please be aware that the #EndBadGovernancelnNigeria action will resume fully tomorrow across Nigeria and in several parts of Lagos-Lekki Toll Gate, Alausa Secretariat, former Lagos Toll Gate, Ketu, LASU Gate, Abule Egba, FESTAC Town, and several other centres.

“However, all groups are advised to march towards Ojota before processions to the Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa.”

Naija News reports that Nigerians have been protesting against hardship and suffering in the country since last Thursday.

The nationwide protest, tagged #EndBadGovernance, is expected to last for 10 days.

The first three days of the protest witnessed violence in some northern states, with security operatives dispersing protesters with tear gas canisters in Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Kaduna.

With the commencement of the protest, Nigerians had called on President Bola Tinubu to address the country and meet the demands of the protesters.
