Former first lady of Ondo State, Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, has completed her Doctorate degree (PhD) at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).

The wife of the late Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, announced this in a video she posted on her X account on Sunday morning.

“Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu completes her PhD in FUTA. The external examiner, Prof. Funmilola Agbebi, congratulates now Dr. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu. It’s official!” the caption read.

Her husband, Akeredolu, who served as governor of Ondo State from 2017, died in December 2023 after battling a protracted ailment.
