An automobile expert/Chief Executive Officer, Brain Boss Automobile, Mr. Olakunle lkuburoju, has appealed to stakeholders, automobile mechanics, educators and captains of industries to support vocational education in their communities.
He made the call at forum in Lagos. Stressing the importance of education, which must be transformative and able to equip learners with the knowledge, values, attitudes, skills, and behaviours needed to become agents of peace.
He observed that companies in the automotive sector needed to find skilled workers to replace those who would leave or retire in the next few years.
He said he was determined to discover and nurture young talents to become great automobile mechanics in the society,adding that has empowered over 12 young persons with free automobile training in Lagbasa community in Lagos.
“We are dedicated to giving young ones knowledge and tools they need to reach their full potential,” he said.
As part of his Corporate Social Responsibility to the society, he has continued to train, empower and brainstorm with his apprentices to get the best out of them, through knowledge, mentorship and networking during the period of training.
He emphasized that “ if successive governments fail the youth in country, they should not give up, look inward and never fail themselves.”
Nigerians are lovers of beautiful fast and latest cars. These vehicles would need young vibrant and innovative persons to handle and manage them.Education and vocational is also facing many challenges and opportunities in the 21st century. “We live in a time of rapid and profound changes, driven by technology, globalisation and environmental issues.”
We need to foster lifelong learning opportunities for all, and to promote innovation and creativity in education.Brain Boss Automobile is a stop-shop with various sections that employ more youths to handle the manufacturing, electrical and wiring, vehicles construction, engine section, painting, decorations and refurbishing among others. Olakunle lkuburoju promised to take the free automobile training campaign to Public schools and secondary schools.This project is aimed to equip and empower young generations.
As educator and automobile expert re-emphasized that”We need to ensure that education is inclusive, equitable, and quality for all.
The Chief Executive officer disclosed that as a University of Lagos Physical Health Education guaduate without job after 10years, it was not easy,he found his passion for automobile through curiosity, research on fast cars and training.He appreciated immersely the 2 road- side mechanics who taught him for free while being jobless after guaduation.
The educator and automobile guru advocated for schools to have guidance and counseling departments to prevent the students from choosing wrong courses and wasting time. “We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow, regardless of their background or circumstances.
