A Nigerian-American, Innocent Tino, has cautioned Nigerians celebrating Facebook monetisation that it is not as easy as they think.

Weeks after confirming to Legit.ng exclusively about making Nigeria eligible, Facebook's parent company, Meta, finally approved the West African country for monetisation.

Innocent said one needs to put in the work to make more money from Facebook.

He claimed that a person may not benefit from Facebook monetisation if their engagement on the platform doesn't exceed five million.

Innocent said he was talking from experience, adding that the stakes are high. Innocent wrote:

Nigerians become eligible to earn on Facebook

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Facebook content creators had rejoiced as Nigeria became eligible to earn money.

Meta, Facebook's parent company, ticked Nigeria blue in the professional dashboard on Thursday, June 27.

Before now, content creators with Nigerian addresses were not eligible for Facebook monetisation unless they had a page management based in an eligible country.
