The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has commended President Bola Tinubu over the appointment of Dr. Abisoye Ayoyinka Fagade as the Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism.
APC said the appointment points at Tinubu’s determination to positively impact on all sectors of the nation’s economy and bears testimony that he would not forget those that worked for his election.
State Publicity Secretary of the party, Olawale Sadare stated this in a statement to LEADERSHIP on Thursday in Ibadan, stating that Fagade’s appointment came at the right time.
Tinubu had earlier on Thursday named Fagade, a marketing communication expert and businessman as the Director General of the Institute through a statement by presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga.
Fagade was announced among four appointees made to ensure quicker realisation of the renewed hope agenda of the current APC-led administration.
Sadare said Fagade’s appointment came at the right time, saying it was the needed testament to the fact that Tinubu was aware of the iconic roles played by members of the party in his electoral success in 2023, assuring that the President would not abandon everyone in the party as the administration stabilised.
“Fagade was one of the heroes of the last general election as he gave his all to every candidates of the APC including President Tinubu. He mobilized heavily with his personal resources without looking back even when help seemed not to be coming from where it was expected. He even sacrificed his own political ambition to ensure that the APC succeeded and he remained steadfast throughout.
“As a versatile patriot, well traveled businessman and cerebral technocrat with prerequisite wherewithal to turn things around anywhere, we are upbeat about his capability to transform the nation’s hospitality and tourism sector in no time, while his Midas touch would assist the cause of diversification of the economy of the country as desired by well meaning and informed citizens,” the APC added.
