While speaking at the opening ceremony of Livak Signature hotel located in Karewa Government Reserved Area,  in Yola North Local Government Area, the governor said that investing in other states will reduce the unemployment rate in those states and boost their revenue to the detriment of Adamawa economy.

The governor who was represented by the Speaker, Adamawa State House of Assembly, Wesley Bathiya, notèd that Adamawa State deserved more investments to create more jobs, pointing out that if the youth are gainfully employed, insecurity in the state will reduced and that government will generate more revenue for infrastructural development.

Bathiya remarked, “I appreciate the efforts of the Chief Executive Officer of this beautiful hotel Dr. Williams Ishaya Kamale, and for choosing his home state to build this gigantic edifice, instead of Abuja, Lagos and other bigger cities like others are doing.

“The government will support whoever wants to do business in Adamawa State,” he assured.

Fintiri pointed out that the  hotel would not only generate more revenue and reduce unemployment, but would also put the state on the lane of tourism in the country and the entire world.

Also speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese Rev. Dr. Stephen Dami Mamza, commended the owner of the hotel for considering his home state for such a capital intensive business.

He stressed that visitors coming into the state will now have a comfortable place to stay and do their businesses without any difficulties in securing a good accommodation.

“Today, this hotel is looking like hotels in Abuja, Lagos and even the United Kingdom, but if the management is not good, within a short time the place will become a desert, so my advice is that the Chief Executive Officer should ensure that he engages hotel management professionals to handle this hotel for our own good and the state government,” he advised.

In his welcome address, the CEO  Kamale, said that the choice of Adamawa State which is incidentally his home state is to enable him contribute to the massive infrastructural development under Governor Fintiri’s administration and reduce unemployment in the state.

Kamale who is based in Abuja assured all the guests at the event that the hotel will encourage both Adamawa sons and daughters and other people to take their businesses to the state which he said still a virgin land for investors to explore.
