A fire outbreak occurred on Tuesday at No. 51, Debo Plaza, opposite Lam Adesina Junction, Felele, Ibadan, where it destroyed two churches and a furniture shop.

This was made known in a statement by the Oyo State Fire Service’s general manager, Yemi Akinyinka.

According to Akinyinka, the affected churches were a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and the New Covenant Church.

“Fire fighters swiftly swung into action and prevented the fire from spreading to the nearby buildings,” Akinyinka said.

Akinyinka added that the fire mostly affected plastic chairs and PVC materials used for ceiling decorations, which were completely burned.

However, the cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
