A firm, Etionary Properties, has planned to officially launch a sustainable community called ‘Casa Verde,’ which translates to “Green House” in Spanish and Portuguese, promising to offer a unique eco-friendly living experience.
It also aims to establish a “sustainable haven” centred on nature preservation and sustainable living where individuals can live, invest, and thrive in harmony with nature.
Casa Verde, located along Moniya-Iseyin Road, boasts a prime location near the Obafemi Awolowo Train Station and the Ibadan Inland Dry Port. It also links Ibadan to Oke-Ogun.
However, despite these connections, the revolutionary community is purposefully situated away from the hustle and bustle of Ibadan, offering a peaceful haven for those seeking tranquillity.
It is the brainchild of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Etionary Properties, Iviemene Omadevuae (Ivie Omas), who was inspired by her global travels and desire to replicate peaceful and sustainable living in Ibadan.
She said: “The goal of Casa Verde is to create a community that is centred on sustainability where individuals can live in, invest in, and thrive.’’
“Nature is the star here, and Casa Verde is designed to honour nature in the best ways possible by implementing eco-friendly features to complement rather than destroy nature. Casa Verde offers living spaces, both for short- and long-term purposes.
“What really inspires me is the beauty I see in other countries as well as the peace and tranquillity that come with it. I had to look around to see where I could duplicate this, and Ibadan came to mind. Let people have a proper experience of what a sustainable city should be.”
Omadevuae noted that Casa Verde’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its use of eco-friendly construction materials, such as recycled metal containers, red bricks, wood, and shells. These materials ensure durable, environmentally-friendly homes.
She said that Casa Verde was not just about owning a property but also about creating a legacy.
