As part of efforts aimed at improving the well-being of Nigerians, members of E-Terra Technologies Ltd. in collaboration with the sister outfit, e-Waste Relief Foundation (ERF) recently organised free medical outreach for residents of Shoba Community in Amuwo Odofin Local Council of Lagos State.
The management of the companies thought it wise to give succour to the people, where their businesses domicile. No fewer 200 inhabitants of the community, including children, benefitted from the outreach.
The Baale of Shoba community, Jimoh Raheem, expressed happiness over the programme. He also acknowledged e-Terra Technologies for donating sets of computers to the School of Technologies a few years ago.
The two outfits also used the opportunity to sensitise the community on the need to dispose their various obsolete electronics safely to avoid health hazards
e-Terra is a pioneering company that is into the eco-friendly management of electronic waste (e-waste); recycling, refurbishing, and data destruction of storage devices in alignment with the global vision of a greener planet.
ERF is also the nation’s first non-governmental organization strictly dedicated to tackling the global e-waste crisis in Nigeria with goals that include: e-waste crisis and solution awareness creation for Nigeria’s societies, establishment of e-waste education for Nigeria’s primary, secondary and tertiary Educational Institutions, awareness creation exercises for informal handlers of electronic waste; advising and supporting Nigeria’s Federal and State government agencies on the most sustainable e-waste management policies in line with global circular economy goals
