Nigerian singer, Kingsley Okonkwo, popularly known as KCee, has gone on a lengthy social media rant after his colleague, Chinedu Okoli, better known as Flavour N’abania, made a shady post online.

Naija News reports that Flavour, in the post via X, called his colleague a copycat.

He wrote, “Copy copy akaria”

The post of the  Igbo Highlife star comes after KCee announced his new track, ‘Netfliss’, and shared snippets of the music video. Some netizens noted the similarity between the song and Flavour’s hit track featuring Phyno, titled ‘Doings’.

Despite Flavour not mentioning names in his post, KCee also took to his X page to lambaste his colleague.

The ‘Ojapiano’ crooner clarified that he was not on the same level as his colleague and advised him to pick his battles well.

According to KCee, his colleague needs to stop gatekeeping the Igbo culture because he is not its custodian.

He wrote, “BRO!!!!!! We are not on the same level Pick your Battles carefully.

“Stop trying to gatekeep Igbo culture. You’re not a Custodian. I’ve been in this game before you. It belongs to all.
You don’t own this genre of music. My music celebrates our heritage, and I won’t apologize. In an ocean of things that matter. You’re like a needle.

“People recognize authenticity. I’ll continue celebrating our culture unapologetically. Spend your energy on success, not diminishing mine.
I’ve never been the type to go head to head, but I’m calling out this bullshit because I won’t be disrespected…

“No way… I’ve come too far for anyone to downplay my sweats and hard work. HELL NO!!!!”
