Former Delta commissioner kidnapped inside church, police orderly shot dead, others injured

A top politician in Delta State and former Commissioner for Higher Education in who recently resigned her appointment to enable her younger brother contest the Local Government Council chairmanship election, Joan Mrapkpor popularly known as Ada Anioma has been allegedly abducted.

Reports said that the ugly incident occurred late yesterday’s afternoon right inside her church, located off Delta Broadcasting Service DBS Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria.

An eye witness said, “There was commotion right inside her church close to Sooth Apartment DBS Road. We all ran due to the heavy gun shots. It just happened few minutes ago, one aide was shot dead and another security personnel is unconscious now”.

Efforts to reach the Delta State Police Command’s spokesman Bright Edafe, a Superintendent of Police SP were not successful as his lines were busy before filing in this report.

Few hours later, SP Bright Edafe, Police Spokesman in Delta state, confirmed the incident, disclosing that the police have moved into the Kidnap incident, stressing that efforts were ongoing to ensure her release unhurt
