Former ICPC Boss Seeks Youths Empowerment With IT Skills

The former chairman of the Independence Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC) , Ekpo Nta, has called for youth empowerment in IT skills to create jobs.

Nta made this statement during the celebration of the 20 years anniversary of The publishers magazines held on Saturday in Abuja.
He said, “The young people must begin to match up to international standards in skills and acquisitions.

“No matter how tough things are, if you have the right skills, you will be the shining star that the country needs for economic development and industrialization.”

Also the publisher, African Waves and Security Waves Magazines with online media (AWSWOM), Gideon Ukpabi, said that they are in the forefront of fishing men and women of excellent achievers with proven integrity, whose contributions are not only visible, but desire overall development of the economy through the waves platforms and the media at large.

He said that the recipients of the award are those who are determined to face the challenges, that may rise from the activities of making positive impact in shaping the society.

He also said that the attendant effect of the award is to inspire and follow up on performance that is noted for posterity.

Ukpabi said, “The award presentation is to commemorate the 20 years anniversary of the security wave magazine and African magazine.”

“We started in September 2004 as an independent media. Presently we are in all platforms and social media with correspondence in all the states in the country.”
