Gov Radda’s Aide And His Wife Killed As Bandits Raid Katsina Communities

In other news, Salisu Ango, the liaison officer for Governor Umar Dikko Radda in the Kankia Local Government Area of Katsina State, has been reportedly killed.

Reports obtained by Naija News revealed that the assailants also murdered Ango’s first wife, while his second wife remains missing.

It was gathered that the bandit group invaded the Gyaza community around 10:00 p.m., targeting Ango’s residence, where they executed him and his wife.

The bandits are alleged to have also killed an individual, injured another, and abducted a total of 28 people in the Shirgi Community of Batsari Local Government Area, Katsina State.

Additionally, it has been reported that the assailants stole an unspecified number of domestic animals from the village during the attack.

A community resident who wished to remain anonymous confirmed the identity of the victim as Amadu Suru, who was fatally shot while attempting to secure his animals at their stall.

He told Daily Trust that the group infiltrated the village on Sunday night and conducted a raid on selected residences.

He further stated that women and children constituted the primary victims of the abductions.

“Many people were initially taken by the bandits, but eventually, some of them escaped along the way as they were walking through thick farms. But by our count, 28 are still with them,” he said.

Several residents have recounted hearing the bandits express satisfaction that Ango had “paid the price” for his previous marriage to an ex-wife of one of their members, despite numerous warnings.
