The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced a plan to build barracks in Adamawa State to ease the accommodation challenges faced by its personnel.
The Corps Marshal, FRSC, Shehu Mohammed made the disclosure in Yola yesterday.
Represented by the new FRSC sector commander, Yahaya Sabo Adikwu he requested for land allocation for housing estate for FRSC staff from the state government.
The new sector commander, during a visit to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at the Government House in Yola, informed the governor that he was in the house to introduce himself and seek a continuous cordial relationship with the state government.
He further informed him on the new trends the Corps has introduced to save lives and properties of road users in the state and the country at large.
The sector commander intimated the governor of the Corps Marshal’s intention to improve the staff welfare in the state.
In his remarks, the governor promised to work and support FRSC in all its programmes and activities in the state.
The sector commander also visited the Lamido of Adamawa, Dr Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, at his palace for the same mission.
