Residents of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja who were stranded on a major road in the Nation’s capital on Tuesday have slammed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the pain caused by the Premium Motor Spirit(Petrol) increase.

DAILY POST observed that commuters at various bus stops in Abuja were scrambling for commercial vehicles.

This was the situation around the Berger roundabout, Jabi Junction, Central Business District, Wuse market and other areas in the Nation’s capital.

“It is painful. I have been here since 4 pm but I have not seen the vehicle to end back home. It’s now obvious that the government does not care about the people. President Bola Ahmed is wicked for implementing another fuel price hike” Bernard Ezeokafor said.

Maryam Yakubu expressed similar frustration having waited at Berger Bus stop for hours after the close of work.

This comes as the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited retail outlets increased the pump price of petrol to N885 per liter on Tuesday from N617.

Similarly, other filling stations are selling between N900 and N1000 per liter.

The petrol price rise comes at the same time, the President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote announced the official rollout of his petrol.
