The former senator representing Plateau South and chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University Of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, Prof. Ladi Nora Daduut, has pledged commitment to foster development of the institution.
Prof Daduut made the pledge after her inauguration by the Minster of Education, Tahir Maman.
She promised to put in place a dynamic and purposeful leadership style to set the institution on the trajectory of growth and development.
Daduut in a statement made available to newsmen in Jos said; “This Governing Council is poised to put in its best in repositioning and placing the university to become a centre of academic excellence.
“We will continue to ensure that the university functions in accordance with its goal and objectives.”
She added that universities play a pivotal role in shaping the future, and they would be committed to guide the institution to new heights of achievement.
Prof. Daduut appreciated the federal government for finding her worthy of the appointment and pledged to continue to do her best to improve education in the country.
