Ghanaian artiste, Wendy Shay will feature on CNN’s GLO-sponsored programme African Voices Playmakers.
The singer and composer will appear in the 30-minutes magazine show to share her talents and accomplishments that have helped her rise to the pinnacle of her profession. She will also be speaking on the positive impacts of her charitable works.
Born on February 20, 1996, Shay named Wendy Asiamah Addo, before discovering and delving into a musical career is a midwife and nurse. Her sound combines hip-hop, highlife, and Afrobeats. Uber Driver and Africa Money are her two most successful albums.
She is a brand Ambassador for Ghana’s Youth Employment Agency (YEA), and won Best New Artiste of the Year at the Ghana-Naija Showbiz Awards.
African Voices Playmakers airs Saturdays on 8.30am, with a broadcast repeat same day at 12pm, and on Sunday at 4.30am and 7pm.
