Governor Muhammadu Yahaya of Gombe State, on Monday, decorated two police officers serving at the Government House.
Represented by the Secretary to Government of the State, Professor Ibrahim Njodi, the governor decorated them with their new ranks of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP II).
The decorated officers, including ASP Adamu Jibrin, and ASP Nikanor Tobiri, were among the recently promoted personnel of the Police Service Commission.
Our correspondent reports that Yahaya, who performed the ceremony in the company of the officer in charge of Information and Communications Technology of the Government House, ASP I Bamayi Adamu, congratulated them for their well-deserved promotion and reminded them of the task ahead of them.
“Promotions come with added responsibilities, especially that of the officer cadre. I employ you to be more dedicated to your duties as police officers and perform your duties professionally”, the governor added.
The decorated officers assured the governor of their continued commitment to serve their fatherland diligently and professionally and thanked Yahaya for his moral support.
