Gombe State Executive Council on Monday approved N320bn as the 2025 budget estimate ahead of Tuesday’s presentation by Governor Muhammadu Yahaya.
Yahaya presided over the meeting, which was held at the Executive Council Chamber of the Government House.
Briefing journalists shortly after the meeting, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Salihu Alkali, noted that the estimate was approved by the council after a thorough assessment.
He said, “The council has approved a total proposed budget to be spent in 2025 of the amount of N320 billion.
“This occurred after deliberations in the council. We arrived at the approval of the total amount to be expended in Gombe State for 2025 to N320 billion.
“This proposed budget will be taken to the house tomorrow by the governor to be presented to the house for deliberation and approval.”
Alkali noted that he would not give a breakdown of the estimate, urging residents to await the details of the governor’s presentation at the House of Assembly.
