Gov Buni Receives FEDPODAM Governing Council, Assures More Support

The Yobe State governor Hon Mai Mala Buni has received in audience the governing council of the Federal Polytechnic Damaturu (FEDPODAM), led by its chairman, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi with an assurance of maximum support towards moving the institution forward.

A statement issued by the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Hussaini Mai Sule said the members of the council were at the Government House as part of activities for the 7th Governing Council meeting of the institution in Damaturu the Yobe State capital.

The Governor who commended the members of the council for the visit said education being the bedrock of any development, will continue to receive the deserving attention from his administration for better progress.

Buni represented by his Deputy Hon Idi Barde Gubana (Wazirin Fune) stated that as an institution that contributes to the educational development of the state, Federal Polytechnic Damaturu will continue to benefit from the state government’s support all the time.

He described the newly appointed chairman Governing Council, Balarabe as a man of integrity, who would justify the confidence reposed on him, considering his experience and truck records while he was speaker of the Nasarawa state House of assembly for three terms.

The governor further assured to look into the request submitted to the state government for onward actions.

T he chairman of the Governing Council, Rt. Hon Balarabe Abdullahi, commended governor Buni for his support to the institution requesting for support especially in the areas of electricity, which hinders smooth academic activities at the polytechnic.

Abdullahi equally appealed for support on security guards and patrol vehicles taking into consideration the size of parameter fense of the institution.

He who assured the governor that as a leader, the Governing Council would do everything possible in bringing more development to the institution, solicited the support of the government and the host community in the actualization of the set objectives.
