Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmad Umaru Fintiri, has said 60,000 women and youths would be empowered by his administration.
Ahmad Fintiri said the women and youth empowerment would come from his government’s Fintiri Business Wallet as part of measures to cushion the current economic hardship.
He stated that his administration hopes to inject ₦3 billion through the business wallet to help the citizens build resilient businesses and foster economic growth.
In a statement on Saturday, Fintiri disclosed that the support would be rolled out in December. He added that the empowerment programme would create new opportunities and strengthen livelihoods across communities in the state.
“To cushion the effects of economic hardship, we’re empowering 60,000 women and youths across Adamawa with the Fintiri Business Wallet.
“Through this initiative, we’re injecting ₦3 billion into the state to help our people build resilient businesses and foster economic growth.
“This support will be rolled out between now and December, creating new opportunities and strengthening livelihoods across our communities,” Governor Fintiri said.
Meanwhile, the Adamawa State Governor has explained that his administration’s desire to create jobs for youths in the state was responsible for the building of a stadium in the state.
“Internationally, investments in sports have yielded tremendous dividends for young people.
“As part of our commitment to empowering the next generation, we are building a world-class stadium that will provide a platform for our local talent to develop, showcase their skills, and reach their full potential,” he added.
