Gov Ododo Swears In New Kogi Judges (Full List)

Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has sworn in 10 newly appointed judges, who were part of the 86 judicial officers recommended for elevation by the National Judicial Council (NJC).

Naija News reports that the swearing-in ceremony took place at the Muhammadu Buhari Square in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital, on Thursday.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ododo charged the new judges to serve the people of Kogi with integrity, fairness, and unwavering dedication to the tenets of the judiciary.

Ododo stated that the judiciary is the last hope of the common man, which owes society an obligation to be fair and urged the new judges to treat everyone equally to guarantee a peaceful society.

He said, “A just and fair society is where everybody is treated equally regardless of class, religion and ethnicity.

“Therefore, you must be reminded and be guided by the oaths you have just taken.”

Governor Ododo also presented vehicles to some of the judges, adding that the state government will present new vehicles to more judges in subsequent batches of allocation of cars.
