Governor Umar Bago gives cars to legislators, commissioners, judges, others

Governor Bago has announced a N20,000 wage award to all civil servants in the state and local government levels and scholarship of N2 billion to Niger State students in tertiary institutions.

Bago who made this announcement at the end of the town hall meeting with stakeholders held in Minna on Thursday said it was part of his appreciation to the people in the state for making the state peaceful and being supportive.

Bago’s announcement was met with shouts and cheers to the extent that he could not finish the announcement.

He also announced that 50 patrol vehicles will be shared among the security agencies in the state while the student unions will be given a bus.

Bago further said that civil servants are eligible to be given grains which they can repay in four months.

The governor called everyone in the state to remain peaceful and pray for the state and the government while supporting government programmes and policies.
