All Progressives Congress candidate in the September 21 governorship election in Edo State, Monday Okpebholo

A group— The Association for Better Edo— has lent its support to Senator Monday Okpebholo, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming governorship election in Edo State.

In a statement sent to Society Plus, the group expressed optimism that, if elected, Okpebholo will ‘make Edo State’s heart beat again, as it was during the administrations of (past governors such as) Samuel Ogbemudia, Ambrose Alli and Adams Oshiomhole’.

The leader of the group, Dr Idemudia Eiremiokhae, said, “Many of the facilities that attract tourists to Edo State have remained moribund and in disrepair; but all hope is not lost, because Senator Okpebholo is capable of resuscitating and even re-creating new ones if voted in as the governor.”

Eiremiokhae continued, “This election is a choice between making Edo the heartbeat again, or leaving it in the hands of undertakers. It is a choice between a governor who will put Edo people first, or a governor who will put them last.”
