2 months ago 96

The first batch of 410 pilgrims from Kebbi State who performed this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia have returned home.

They consist of male and female pilgrims from Arewa and Jega local government areas. On Saturday, they arrived at the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi, by 9.42 pm aboard Flynas Airline A330-900 Airbus.

Their arrival signified the commencement of the return of Nigerian Pilgrims from the Holy Land to the country, as Kebbi State was the launch pad for the airlift operation to the Hajj one month ago.

They all disembarked the aircraft in good health and appeared well-fed.

A female pilgrim, Hajiya Barakah Maishanu, expressed gratitude to Governor Nasir Idris for facilitating their comfort and care through the Pilgrims Welfare Agency during their stay in Makkah and Madinah and their safe return to Kebbi.
