Nigerian politicians have been told to set aside political differences and join hands with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to end the pervasive hunger in Nigeria.

The governorship candidates of the Accord Party at the just concluded Edo State election, Bright Enabulele, made the call recently while speaking about the economic hardship Nigerians face.

Speaking on behalf of Enabulele in Abuja on Wednesday, Deputy National President of Young People for Good Leadership, Athekpe Abdukadir, said Nigerians should unite to end the country’s challenges.

His comment comes as Nigerians struggle to cope with the recent hike in the price of premium motor spirit (petrol) by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited to above N1,030 per litre.

The incessant hike in fuel prices in the last two months had further worsened the country’s inflation, which stood at 32.70 percent in September, pushing the cost of living higher.

Reacting, Enabulele said, “Beyond politics, we must have humanity; government cannot do everything. When a man is hungry, he can’t think properly. Nigeria is our country; we must work together to make it work, “he said
