His bravery, commitments to Nigeria’s security unwavering – Rep mourns Lagbaja

The member representing Eket/ONNA/Esit-Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Mr Okpolupm Etteh, has mourned the passing of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja.

In a condolence message on Friday, Etteh described late Lagbaja as a core professional whose bravery and commitment to the nation’s security were topnotch.

Etteh, who is also a member of the House Committee on Army, noted that the late General’s leadership and patriotism set a high standard within the Nigerian Army and contributed significantly to advancing the military’s mission of national defense and peace.

While urging his family and Nigerians as a whole to be strong and comforted; he encouraged them to take solace with late Lagbaja’s dedication to service when he was alive.

He expressed deep sympathy for the bereaved family, friends, and colleagues of the late Army Chief, acknowledging the profound loss his passing has brought to the entire nation.

The lawmaker said, “I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Nigerian Army and family of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, who passed away at the age of 56.

“I pray for the peaceful repose of the late General’s soul and for God to grant strength to his family during this difficult time.

“Lt. General Lagbaja, remembered for his dedicated service to Nigeria, leaves behind a legacy of professionalism, bravery, and unwavering commitment to the nation’s security.”
