Hold Me Accountable For Abia Resources – Otti

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has told the people of the state to hold him accountable for the state’s resources, assuring that his administration will not condone fraud and corruption.

Otti stated this when he declared open the 4th Pastors’ Kids Association Convention 2024 of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Eastern Nigeria Union Conference headquarters, Ayaba Umueze, Aba.

“In our administration, corruption and stealing are forbidden,” he noted, saying the theme of the conference “ Advancing The Gospel In A Digital Era” is necessary and timely.

“So, when you see or hear people making noise in the media about us, it’s because they are unable to continue to feed fat on resources that belong to all of us.”

He urged them to always remember their parents’ sacrifices as church ministers and to stand firm whenever they are confronted with challenges.

“I appeal to you to repeal and resist that attraction to digital technology that gives impetus to the belief that man doesn’t need God because God already gave that wisdom to create.”

In a speech, the president of the conference, Pastor Bassey Udoh, said digital evangelism effectively reaches many people, urging Christians to use social media platforms to advance the gospel.

“With social media, you can reach anybody, anytime. Anywhere, anyhow and with that, nobody will be left out. When we do this, we will have fulfilled the Bible’s mandate,” he said.

In an address, the president of the association, Justice L.T.C Eruba, noted with gratitude that God has blessed the offspring and families of those who diligently served Him.

Pointing at Otti as one of their members, Eruba said the governor is doing well in infrastructure, financial discipline and other areas of governance and prayed to God to continue to guide him.
