FIFA has imposed a significant transfer ban on the Russian football club CSKA Moscow due to ongoing financial disputes related to the transfer of Nigerian winger Chidera Ejuke.
Chidera Ejuke originally joined CSKA Moscow from Dutch club Heerenveen in 2020. Since then, CSKA has accumulated a debt of €3 million to Heerenveen, which remains unpaid as part of the agreed transfer fee.
As a consequence of this financial shortfall, FIFA has decided to implement an 18-month transfer ban on CSKA. The governing body has clearly stated that this ban will remain in effect until the club fulfills its financial obligation and pays the outstanding amount to Heerenveen.
Following his time in Moscow, Ejuke departed CSKA on a free transfer this summer after completing four years with the club. The 26-year-old winger is now signed with Spanish La Liga club Sevilla, looking to make an impact in a new league.
Meanwhile, Victor Moses has expressed his satisfaction with his current situation at Luton Town, a club competing in the Sky Bet Championship.
