Singer and rapper, Goya Menor, has shed light on how he resolved his rift with controversial singer, Portable, whom he recently collaborated with on a song.
Speaking in an interview with Sunday Scoop, the ‘Ameno’ singer said, “Portable linked up with my manager in the United States of America, and my manager called me unexpectedly on video saying someone wanted to say ‘hello’ to me. To my surprise, it was Portable. I smiled because I was not expecting such a call. We spoke at length, and he said we should make a song together, and I agreed. That was how our dispute was resolved.”
On how their previous rift influenced the creative process of making the song titled, Awiloh, the artiste said, “That would have been possible if we both recorded in the same studio. But, in this case, a beat was sent to him when he was still in America. He recorded his part and sent it back to me. We are both professionals. On hearing a beat, we already know what to do. So, though we were not physically together to do the recording, we could still feel each other’s energy.”
Speaking on the message behind the song, he said, “We are basically telling people to stop living fake lives. These days, many people advise others to work hard; meanwhile, they make money through dubious and fraudulent means. The song implores listeners to work hard and genuinely, and enjoy their lives.”
