The West African Examination Council (WAEC) on Monday announced the release of results for the 2024 Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) for school candidates.
WAEC Nigeria, Amos Josiah Dangut, disclosed that a total of 1,814,736 candidates registered for the examination from 25,126 secondary schools across Nigeria. Of this number, 1,805,216 candidates sat the examination.
“Out of the total number of candidates that sat the exam in Nigeria, 1,685,889 candidates (93.39 percent) have all their papers processed and released while 119,327 candidates (representing 6.61 percent) have some subjects still being processed,” Dangut said.
Dangut also disclosed that the body withheld the results of 215,267 candidates for malpractice during the 2024 Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE).

The following are steps on how to check your results, candidates are advised to follow these steps:
1. Enter their 10-digit WAEC Examination Number (7-Digit centre number followed by 3-digit candidate number eg. 4123456789).
2. Select the examination year (4 digits, e.g., 2002).
3. Choose the type of examination.
4. Enter the e-PIN Voucher Number.
5. Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on their e-PIN.
6. Click Submit and wait for the results window to appear.
