Beautiful Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao has opened up on her struggles with self esteem and the harm fake news did on her as she almost inflicted an injury on herself by refusing to eat for seven days and she almost poisoned herself. The actress said this while answering questions on Nollywood on radio.

You will recall that the actress once faced severe social media backlashes after she crowned controversial cross dresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky, as the best dressed female during her movie premier. However Eniola came out to clear the air on this controversy saying that her action was a media stunt for the movies publicity.

She said people misinterpreted her intention and took it out of proportion by bashing her on the social media. The impact was so much on her that she had to withdraw from public activities for some time and refused to eat for seven days which got her family worried.

“I almost poisoned myself because of news about me on social media that was far from true. It was the first time in my life to face something so painful that I couldn’t eat for seven days. I didn’t go anywhere. People around me can testify to it,”

My sisters were calling, telling me, ‘You have to do this for yourself. You don’t have to poison yourself. My son was reaching out to everyone that I was struggling with the online lies,” she added.
