I Did Not Divert 70 Bags Of Rice Meant For Sallah Celebration – Gov Adeleke’s Suspended Aide Claims

Emmanuel Adebisi, the  embattled aide of the Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke has denied claims that he was suspended by the governor.

Recall that on Wednesday, the governor had announced the suspension of Adebisi, who is the Senior Special Assistant on Civil Societies.

Adebisi’s suspension was announced in a statement by the governor’s spokesman, Olawale Rasheed.

The statement did not give the reason for the  suspension but stated that he would remain on suspension “pending the outcome of investigations by the Chief of Staff to the State Governor, Kazeem Akinleye.”

However, Adebisi in a Facebook post stated that the rumour that the governor suspended him was untrue.

He also denied allegations that he diverted 70 bags of rice meant for distribution to members of the civil society groups in the state during the last Sallah.

Adebisi wrote, “It has come to my attention that recent reports circulating in the media regarding me, Comrade Adebisi Emmanuel, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Civil Societies, are misleading and untrue.

“The claims suggesting that I, Emmanuel Adebisi, have been suspended and removed from a WhatsApp group are categorically false.

“I continue to serve diligently in my capacity as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Osun State, with unwavering commitment to my responsibilities.

“Any insinuation of my involvement in misconduct, particularly relating to the alleged diversion of 70 bags of rice intended for Osun civil societies during the Eid-el-Kabir festival, is entirely baseless and without merit and the handiwork of some bitter political fools and I challenge anyone with fact on this to bring it out.

“I, Comrade Adebisi Emmanuel, remain an integral part of the Osun Government team and continue to uphold the highest standards of integrity and service. We urge the media and the public to disregard the misinformation being circulated and refrain from spreading unsubstantiated claims that could tarnish the reputation of dedicated public servants.”
