Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo has announced the passing of her younger sister.

Speaking via an emotional social media post, the thespian disclosed that her vacation was abruptly cut short on Saturday when she received the tragic news.

She expressed distress, stating that she has been a “wreck” while grieving the loss of her sibling.

Jombo noted that she had not anticipated experiencing such a profound loss in 2024 but acknowledged that one cannot question God’s plan.

Her post has garnered an outpouring of condolences and support from fans, colleagues, and friends in the entertainment industry.

My vacation ended on Saturday which turned out to be the worst day of my life. I lost my younger sister and have been a wreck, grieving someone this close wasn’t in my 2024 cards, but we can not ask God questions,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, Nollywood actress, Destiny Etiko, has slammed Nigerians excited about the return of the Big Brother Naija Season 9 edition despite the economic challenges in the country.

Naija News reports that the annual reality show started on Sunday, July 28, featuring 28 housemates who appeared in pairs.

The season’s theme, “No Loose Guard” promises exciting twists designed to keep viewers on the edge of their seats for the next 10 weeks.

However, in a post on her Instagram page on Monday, Destiny Etiko expressed displeasure that Nigerians are happy with the TV show when many people are struggling to survive.

She lamented that people were hungry, adding that attention should be focused more on the country’s problems.

She wrote: “E don red for our country and I still dey see some people dey happy about BBN.

“Hmmmmm nawa o Oh una still get enough money for DATA Abi? If you guys do not complain, then who am I to do so?

“I am majorly concerned about the poor masses, though. That you can survive does not mean that everyone can.

“Crime is now happening everywhere, insecurity has become the order of the day and everyone is literally calm. THE EARLIER, THE BETTER.”
