‘I Joined PDP Because Of My Loyalty To Obaseki’ – Philip Shaibu

1 week ago 2

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shuaibu, has stated that his decision to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was because of his loyalty to his principal, Godwin Obaseki.

Naija News reports that Shaibu made this known on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Tuesday.

Shaibu noted that he did not want to join the PDP, and some party leaders had often reprimanded him for always saying he joined the party because of Obaseki.

He added that the decision to leave PDP also allowed him to reunite with his political godfather and former governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole.

He said, “We were part of those who started the formation of APC, but I joined the PDP because of my loyalty to my governor (Godwin Obaseki) not because I want to join PDP. I said that and i was reprimanded by the national leader of PDP, because of Obaseki I left the APC and because of him and I returned to the APC. My excitement is that God has used him for me to be able to reunite with my godfather, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, who I quarreled with because of Obaseki. The fight cost me losing my supporters, but i have also gained more supporters.”
