Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has assured that his administration will implement the recommendations of his government’s 4-day industrial investment summit.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the summit, which was attended by dignitaries across the country, including the deputy governor of Ondo State, Mr Olamide Adelami in Osogbo, Adeleke said the resolutions from the summit would be used to accelerate the industrialisation of the state.

Represented by his deputy, Kola Adewusi, the governor maintained that the summit discussions had provided the state with insights into its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to economic growth and development.

In his goodwill message, Ondo State governor Lucky Ayedatiwa, represented by his deputy, advised the Osun State government to explore tourism as a veritable investment.

He noted that Osun, as the cradle of the Yoruba race worldwide, has the opportunity to explore this and other tourism locations to create wealth and improve the state’s lot.

Earlier, the state Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, stated that following the successful hosting of the summit, new industries, investments, and corporate organisations would emerge in the state, ensuring economic growth for the current generation and future generations.

According to him, the new industries will address challenges such as unemployment, over-reliance on civil servants’ salaries, and poverty among most Osun people.
