Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has said his administration is committed to addressing the challenges of youth unemployment in the state.

Governor Otti said this on Monday while celebrating with Abia State youths on International Youth Day.

Otti promised that his administration would prioritize good governance and create an enabling environment for the state’s young people to reach their full potential.

He added that Nigerian youths at home and in the diaspora have shown their talent in various fields of life and needed a supportive environment to achieve their full potential.

Today (Monday), on International Youth Day, we celebrate the remarkable contributions of young people around the world, including the vibrant Abia Youths both at home and in the Diaspora.

“Our youth have demonstrated their creative genius across various domains, from science and technology to sports, entertainment, and fashion.

“In the field of medicine and IT startups, they drive innovation, while in workspaces, they shape the landscape through robotics and artificial intelligence, pushing the boundaries of knowledge.

“In sports, they excel, not only bringing honour to our state but also giving back through sports development and academies.

“As a government, we recognize the economic challenges and unemployment issues faced by our youth. We remain committed to providing good governance and creating an enabling environment for our young people to thrive and reach their full potential,” Governor Otti said in a statement.
