Nigerian singer, Anthony Ebuka Victor, better known as Victony, has opened up on his health struggle following his involvement in an accident.

Naija News recalls that in April 2021, the ‘Soweto’ hitmaker was involved in a ghastly accident that left one dead and three others injured.

The singer underwent his first surgery in the same year.

In a recent interview on the Afrobeats podcast, Victony disclosed that he had undergone four surgeries since the accident that almost claimed his life.

The 23-year-old singer said he is still recovering and would do one more surgery after his upcoming North American tour.

Victony also revealed that he takes pain relievers before performing on stage.

He said, “Honestly, I am blessed and the whole world can see. I’m still in the recovery phase but I’m still able to do this now. I’m about to go on tour.

“Thinking about last year, even up until recently, I’ve done four surgeries and after the tour, I am still going to do one more.

“But it’s still a blessing. Going to the hospital and seeing other people there but I go in and out and do my thing.

“I take pain relievers before I go on stage and I still record. I feel blessed and I thank God for his grace, it’s not by power. I’m not his favourite child so I don’t know why he is blessing me.”
