The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company has embarked on a series of visits and engagements with its maximum-demand customers in Oyo and Ogun States.

The initiative, according to a statement signed by the firm on Tuesday, is a strategic move to enhance customer satisfaction and service delivery.

Leading the initiative, the Ag. Managing Director, IBEDC, Engr. Francis Agoha, stressed the importance of these customer engagements.

He said, “This underscores IBEDC’s ongoing commitment to building strong relationships and gathering valuable feedback from its customer base.

“Our customers are at the heart of our operations. It’s vital that we not only listen to their needs but also act swiftly to meet and exceed their expectations.”

He further outlined several key measures that IBEDC is implementing to improve the customer experience, including exploring bilateral partnerships and other innovative approaches.

The high point of the discussions focused on improving fault resolution times. Engr. Agoha issued a directive to the IBEDC team to ensure that issues within the company’s control are addressed promptly.

“A quicker turnaround time for resolving faults is not just a goal; it’s a necessity. Prompt response is crucial for maintaining customer trust and satisfaction,” he emphasised.

Furthermore, Agoha assured the customers that IBEDC is committed to strengthening its collaborations with other stakeholders in the power sector.

“We are actively working to enhance our relationships within the sector to deliver better, more reliable services. Our engagement with customers is crucial to understanding their needs and ensuring we meet their expectations. Their feedback is invaluable, and we are committed to addressing their concerns,” he added.

The customers expressed their appreciation for the proactive approach taken by IBEDC.

One of the customers noted, “It’s reassuring to see IBEDC taking such active steps to engage with us directly. We hope this leads to smoother and more efficient service delivery.”

Agoha said IBEDC remains steadfast in its dedication to providing excellent electricity distribution services across its coverage areas.

“The company continues to seek out innovative solutions and foster partnerships that will benefit both its customers and the broader community.

“Our goal is to build a power distribution network that is not only efficient and reliable but also deeply customer-centric,” concluded Agoha.
