The Managing Director and CEO of Innoson Motors, Nigeria’s Indigenous automaker, Innocent Chukwuma, has expressed optimism about the future. He urges Nigerians to remain patient and give President Bola Tinubu a chance to implement his vision for the country.

He disclosed this to State House correspondents on Thursday after meeting President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa.

“I know how President Tinubu behaves. Everything we want, we will see the better side of Nigeria. Let everybody calm down for him, and they will see a better Nigeria from Tinubu,”  Chukwuma said.

Addressing the partnership between Innoson Motors and the government, Chukwuma stated that the collaboration is ongoing and that Innoson vehicles will soon be ubiquitous on Nigerian roads.

Furthermore, Chukwuma highlighted Innoson’s pioneering efforts in the compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle market, revealing that the company had started producing CNG-powered vehicles about two years ago, even before the government’s recent push for CNG adoption.

“It is the best idea. Government‘s initiatives on CNG is the best idea for this country because there are a lot of benefits, and it is those benefits I saw before I started the factory to produce vehicles on CNG,” Chukwuma said.

Chukwuma urged Nigerians to be patient with the new administration, emphasising that the previous government had sold oil and collected the money without ensuring adequate supply. Still, the current government is working to rectify the situation.

“Let everybody be patient because everybody knows that the former government sold oil, collected the money, and didn‘t supply it, but this government is just supplying it but not getting the money. So let them give them a chance, everything will be okay,” Chukwuma said.

The Innoson Motors CEE encouraged Nigerians to remain calm and refrain from destroying public infrastructure, which would not benefit the country in the long run.

He expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s vision and called on the public to support the new administration’s efforts to build a better Nigeria.
