Inside Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s expansive Redemption City

With over 5 million members across 20,000 branches in more than 140 countries worldwide The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) unarguably is one of the largest Pentecostal ministries across the globe.

As you read, the 72nd edition of RCCG’s convention themed ‘Heaven’ is currently ongoing at The Redemption City in Mowe, Ogun State (Lagos-Ibadan express way).

A simple trip to Redemption City will clear the doubts of any doubting Thomas about the mega city The Redemption City has become under the spiritual guidance of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of RCCG, popularly known as ‘Daddy GO’.

From the little beginnings of 40 branches in 1981 when Pastor Adeboye took over the church which was founded by Josiah Akindayomi of blessed memory, the church has grown in leaps and bounds, exceeded expectations and breaking new grounds.

The closest word to describe what God has used Pastor Adeboye to achieve as General Overseer of RCCG is phenomenal. Obviously, no man can do singlehandedly achieve the giant strides of Pastor Adeboye except God is with him.

Aside from being the home of signs and wonders, Redemption City has evolved into a mega city complete with all facilities necessary to be ranked as a 21st century. Described as one of the well-planned modern cities in Ogun State, Redemption City has become model of how a modern city should look like.

From the security arrangement of the city to functioning facilities, including good roads, banks, schools and recreational centres, Redemption City is now more than a church camp ground. In the area of community development, Redemption City has attracted hundreds of real estate infrastructure to Mowe and its environs.

The Mowe axis has become a thriving business hub in Ogun State with businesses springing up every day around the axis thanks to Redemption City. In addition, there is always one project or the other under construction inside the expansive holy city.

The RCCG under the leadership has continued to break new grounds, expanding the church’s territories and winning more souls to the kingdom of light.

It is easy for a first timer in Redemption City to miss his way because new auditoriums are being built every day. Recognized as one of the fathers of faith in Nigeria, Pastor Adeboye is one of the world’s most influential spiritual leaders. Daddy G.O’s humility has endeared him to a lot of people, both Christians and people of other faith.
