A new rental platform, JHomes, is set to launch on July 1, 2025, with a monthly payment model that could potentially disrupt Nigeria’s real estate sector.
The platform’s developers stated that it will provide a more affordable and transparent solution for tenants, landlords, and property managers.
Dr. Oluwasegun Adebiyi, the leader of JHomes, stated that the platform is a solution long overdue in Nigeria’s housing sector.
He said: “JHomes empowers Nigerians with a fairer, tech-driven rental experience, making housing affordable and stress-free.
“This initiative offers three flexible contract models: direct rentals through the platform, formalising offline rental agreements, and migrating existing leases for structured monthly payments and digital management.
“The platform caters to tenants seeking flexibility, landlords wanting consistent income, and property managers needing automated tools for rent collection and contract oversight.”
He added that under the platform’s monthly payment model, a tenant who would typically pay ₦600,000 annually would instead pay ₦50,000 per month, with no additional fees.
Also speaking, Chidinma Uzo, a Lagos tenant, commended the initiative, saying, “Tech meets transparency—this is what Nigeria’s housing sector needs.”
