Enyimba’s technical adviser, Yemi Olanrewaju, has admitted that there is still much work ahead to secure qualification to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Following a goalless draw against Etoile Filante in the first leg of the second preliminary round, Yemi Olanrewaju is focused on the upcoming match at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.

Coach Olanrewaju stressed the importance of redoubling efforts for the return leg, recognizing the need to prepare his team diligently and make them work even harder to accomplish the club’s goal.

“The job is not yet done. We can’t celebrate anything until we seal everything next weekend in Uyo,” Yemi Olanrewaju said according to BSN Sports.

“For now, there is still a lot of work to be done. They are a good and decent side, but tactically, we had an edge,e, and our game plan worked. We have to go back home to prepare and work harder to get the job done.

“We had a good game. It’s a game that we dominated, but sadly, we didn’t control the outcome 100 percent.”

Meanwhile, Rangers forward Onyekachi Okafor has urged his teammates to persevere in the quest for qualification to the group stage of the CAF Champions League following their narrow 1-0 win against Sagrada Esperanca.

Okafor expressed the team’s need to push harder in the upcoming second-leg tie in Angola, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a resilient and determined mindset.

The forthcoming match, which will take place at the 11 de Novembro Stadium, holds significant importance for Rangers, as they aim to secure their spot in the next stage of the competition.

“It’s far from over,” Okafor wrote on X.

“We push to the very end never say die.”
