In a stunning revelation, World Wrestling Entertainment legend John Cena has revealed that he will be hanging up his boots by the end of 2025.
According to the Washington Post on Sunday, the 16-time WWE world champion who made a career jump to Hollywood in the past decade, announced WWE Money in the Bank in Toronto.
Cena, a driving force in WWE for over two decades, confirmed that his farewell tour will include the 2025 Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. T

“I’ve been in the WWE for over two decades and in that time, I’ve seen incredible waves of prosperity like we got right now.
“WWE is the hottest ticket in town, no doubt, but I have also seen true hardship, that’s when no one knows your name, nobody wants to be your friend and only the most dedicated and hardcore fans stand by your side.”
Cena disclosed that he will make a special appearance on the historic premiere episode of WWE’s “Monday Night Raw” when it debuts on Netflix in January 2025, following a massive $5 billion partnership between WWE and the streaming giant.”
John Cena also confirmed that he will participate in two of WWE’s highly anticipated events in early 2025: the intense “Elimination Chamber” and the iconic “Royal Rumble”, where 30 brave wrestlers will battle it out in an action-packed free-for-all for a coveted shot at the heavyweight championship title.
Cena made his WWE debut in 2002. However, since 2018, he has adopted a more part-time role in the company to focus on his movie career.
