Deposed Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero

A Kano State High Court presided by the Chief Judge, Justice Dije Aboki, on Thursday, re-affirmed his earlier interim order issued on September 13, restraining Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, (15th Emir of Kano) from restructuring, refurbishing, or renovating Nassarawa mini place, pending the hearing and determination of motion on notice.

It would be recalled that the Kano State Government, alongside two other applicants, approached the court, seeking to restrain the defendant from carrying out any renovation in the Nassarawa mini palace.

When the case resumed on Thursday for hearing of the originating motion, the counsel for the applicants told the court that the defendant had neither filed any processes nor represented.

Consequently, Justice Aboki reassigned the case to Kano State High Court 15, presided by Justice Sanusi Ado Maaji, now that judges have resumed their annual vacation.

She ordered that a hearing notice be served on the defendant.
