Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club, Kano Pillars, have announced the departure of their head coach, Paul Offor less than a month after his appointment.

The sack of Paul Offor was confirmed in an official statement released by the club’s management via Kano Pillars’ official X page. The decision to part ways with Offor was described as mutual and made in good faith.

The newly appointed chairman of Kano Pillars, Ali Muhammad Umar, commended Offor’s coaching abilities despite his brief tenure with the team.

The club has expressed its intention to appoint a new technical adviser ahead of the upcoming 2024-2025 NPFL season.

Note that Paul Offor was appointed during the tenure of the previous management board of the club, which has since been dissolved by the state government earlier this month.

The official statement from Kano Pillars reads: “Kano Pillars Football Club announces the mutual termination of the contract with its Technical Adviser, Paul Offor. The decision was made in good faith and with mutual consent, underscoring a shared understanding between both parties. Chairman Ali Muhammad Umar expressed his appreciation for Paul Offor’s cooperation and positive attitude throughout his stay at the club and during the discussions leading to this mutual decision.

“As Kano Pillars FC looks forward, the club is set to appoint a new Technical Adviser to lead the team in the upcoming 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League season. The selection process is already underway. The management and entire Kano Pillars FC family wish Paul future endeavours and thank him for his contributions to the club.”
