The Katsina State Commissioner for Security, Nasiru Danmusa, has said the state government has allocated more than ₦30bn to battle insecurity across the state.

The commissioner, in a statement on Saturday, noted that the substantial investment is part of Governor Dikko Radda’s ongoing commitment to combating insecurity and restoring enduring peace in troubled areas of the state.

According to the commissioner, the funds have been earmarked towards equipping security forces, enhancing intelligence operations, as well as supporting community-based initiatives aimed at preventing crime.

He expressed some measure of satisfaction that the state’s proactive measures are yielding positive results, with a remarkable download trend in banditry and other criminal activities.

“It is the government’s resolve to continue prioritizing the safety and well-being of its citizens. I assure you that no stone will be left unturned in the fight against insecurity in Katsina State until we conquer.

“As never before, I am restating that the state government has renewed its commitment to battle insecurity to a standstill. It is a collective responsibility, and everybody’s hand must be on deck to wipe out insecurity in Katsina”, the commissioner remarked.
