Katsina State Governor, Mallam Dikko Radda, returned to Nigeria on Saturday after a five-day official visit to China, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to tackling insecurity.

He was welcomed at Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by a delegation from the state, including federal lawmakers, party leaders, and family members.

A statement from the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, noted that Radda said, “I am delighted to be back home after a productive working visit to China, following my annual vacation. The warm welcome I’ve received today reinforces my dedication to serving the great people of Katsina State.

“During my visit to China, we explored numerous opportunities for collaboration and investment that will significantly benefit our beloved state. The insights and agreements reached will undoubtedly accelerate Katsina’s development.”

PUNCH Online learnt that in response to the recent bandit attacks in the state, Radda said, “As I prepare to resume my duties on Monday, my heart goes out to the families affected by the recent bandit attacks. I want to assure all residents of Katsina that improving security remains my top priority. We are intensifying our efforts and implementing new strategies to ensure the safety of every citizen.”

He commended the Deputy Governor, Mallam Faruk Lawal Jobe, “for his exemplary leadership” in his absence.

“His efficient management of state affairs demonstrates the strength and unity of our administration.

“To the people of Katsina, I reaffirm my unwavering commitment to your welfare and the progress of our state.

The coming days will see the rollout of innovative programmes and projects that will elevate Katsina to new heights. Together, we will build a more prosperous, secure, and vibrant Katsina State,” Governor Radda concluded.
