Kendrick Lamar Performs Diss Track Targeting Drake, “They Not Like Us” Five Times At Concert

Kendrick Lamar has taken his beef with Drake up a notch by performing his diss track They Not Like Us, not once, not twice, but five times during his concert.

The concert called the “Ken & Friends – The Pop Out,” was held at Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. Lamar first performed the track during his opening set and then brought it back for an encore.

He then performed it three more times, each time with more intensity than the last. The crowd was visibly hyped, and many fans were seen chanting along to the lyrics.

Undoubtedly, the lyrics of the diss track hit hard. This includes the double entendre: “Tryna strike a chord and it’s probably A minor.” Referencing both musical notes and Drake’s alleged preference for underage girls.

It’s also worth noting that the concert was slated on a historical date. Performed on the celebrated Juneteenth, a federal holiday in the United States that marks the freedom of enslaved African Americans. It is also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day. Juneteenth marks the anniversary of the announcement of the abolition of slavery in the United States. It took place on June 19, 1865.

Kendrick Lamar’s diss track targeted to Drake

They Not Like Us is a scathing indictment of Drake, in which Lamar accuses him of being a snitch and a culture vulture. According to Genius, “On the track, Kendrick avenges the West Coast for Drake’s controversial use of 2Pac and Snoop Dogg A.I. vocals on his song Taylor Made Freestyle, Drake’s second diss was removed shortly after because of a cease-and-desist from the estate of the late Tupac Shakur.”

The fact that Kendrick performed it five times at his concert is a clear indication that he is not backing down from his beef with Drake.

Furthermore, the show saw an act of unity between the West Coast rap fraternity. Celebrities like Dr Dre, Roddy Rich, Tyler The Creator, Steve Lacy, and Ty Dolla $ign were present. They took to the stage with Kendrick Lamar during the last performance of They Not Like Us.
