Kid Cudi Alleges Diddy Torched His Porsche Over Cassie Romance

In a gripping turn at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing sex trafficking trial, rapper Kid Cudi testified Thursday that Combs broke into his home and set fire to his Porsche in 2012, allegedly retaliating over Cudi’s brief relationship with singer Cassie Ventura.

Testifying under oath, Cudi—real name Scott Mescudi—claimed he dated Ventura in 2011, believing she was no longer romantically involved with Combs. He recounted that Ventura had confided in him about being physically assaulted by Combs, and that their relationship quickly became dangerous.

According to Cudi, the situation escalated in December 2011 when Ventura called him early one morning, panicked after allegedly being attacked by Combs with a wine bottle opener. The pair fled to a nearby hotel, fearing for their safety.

Upon returning to his home, Cudi discovered evidence of a break-in: his security cameras had been disabled, gifts were opened, and his dog was found locked in a bathroom. He filed a police report, but no arrests were made.

In January 2012, Cudi’s Porsche was set ablaze outside his home. Photos shown in court depicted a vehicle with its roof slashed and signs that a Molotov cocktail was used to ignite the fire. DNA evidence was collected, but no suspects were identified.

Cudi recalled confronting Combs weeks later at the Soho House in Los Angeles. “He was just standing there, staring out the window with his hands behind his back, like a Marvel supervillain,” he testified. When questioned about the car, Combs allegedly said, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

The two crossed paths again in 2015, where Cudi claimed Combs apologized, saying, “Man, I just want to apologise for everything and all that bullsh*t.” Cudi said he accepted the apology and “found peace” with the incident.

Under cross-examination, Cudi acknowledged that no forensic results were shared with him and no charges were filed. Defense attorney Brian Steel suggested that Cassie may have manipulated Cudi, a possibility Cudi admitted he had considered.

Cudi ended his testimony with a stark statement: “I knew Sean Combs was violent.”

The trial, now in its second week, has included testimony from 16 witnesses, including Cassie Ventura, as prosecutors build their case against the hip-hop mogul.
